Nurture Health: A Story of Strategic Rebranding in South African Healthcare

We kicked off with a strategy workshop to align vision, tone, and purpose. What emerged was a brand platform rooted in people, patients, families, staff, and healthcare professionals, all working together in recovery.

From there, we helped translate that internal alignment into a refreshed visual identity and communication system that could carry the brand across every touchpoint.

A Fresh Expression of a Clear Purpose

Nurture Health already had a strong name and an even stronger presence. Our job was to refine how that presence showed up—visually and verbally.

We developed a flexible design system that works across signage, staff touchpoints, documents, and print material. It’s calm, professional, and confident, built to reflect the type of care they’re known for.

Every design decision had a job to do: support trust, improve clarity, and deliver consistency across their national footprint.

Making Digital Work Harder

For many people, a hospital journey starts online. So we partnered with Nurture Health to redesign their website from the ground up, mapping it to the real needs of their users.

The result is a fast, accessible, and mobile-friendly platform that makes it easy to find locations, understand services, and connect with care teams. Every word was carefully crafted in a warm, professional tone, balancing empathy with accuracy.

We also optimised the entire platform for search visibility. Strategic use of terms like rehabilitation hospitals in South Africa, stroke recovery services, and sub-acute medical care helps the right people find Nurture Health, at the right time.

Behind the scenes, the new CMS gives their team full control — no bottlenecks, no developer delays.

Bringing It All Together, Across the Country

With the brand system established, we worked alongside their team to roll it out across hospitals nationwide. This included everything from signage and wayfinding to templates, HR material, and internal communications.

We also supported their in-house marketing team with a full content toolkit, ensuring consistency from boardroom to bedside. What made this rollout special wasn’t the scale, but the shared energy behind it. Every team we met brought insight and care to the process. That collaboration made the brand stronger.

Social Media With Purpose
We refreshed their social media identity to match the new brand, clean, credible, and people-first. Our focus was on usable templates, story-led content, and a tone that builds connection. From patient journeys to team highlights, every post now serves a purpose and fits into the broader brand story.  It’s marketing that adds value, not noise.

Designed to Scale
What started with a single workshop has become a working brand ecosystem, built to grow with them. Whether it’s a new hospital launch, recruitment drive, stakeholder presentation, or digital campaign, Nurture Health now has the tools, systems, and visual language to do it all, consistently and confidently.
